What are your occupational therapy goals?
You may want to attend music classes, learn to cook more independently, or adjust your furniture to better fit your needs. Whatever your goals are, the experienced occupational therapists at Indigo are passionate about working with you to achieve them.
We can either visit you at home for a one-off appointment to receive information and advice, or organise ongoing support, where our dedicated team can work with you to achieve your goals in all areas of your life.
Functional Capacity Assessments
Our team of experienced Occupational Therapists (OT) take a human-centred approach when working with you on a Functional Capacity assessment. We take the time to understand you, explore your goals, challenges facing everyday life and look at ways Assistive Technology can support your disability. This report can assist with future NDIS funding decisions, ensuring you have a say in your own independence.
Our occupational therapists could work with you by:
- Providing advice on assistive technology (devices and equipment) to make tasks easier
- Showing you new ways of doing activities, such as showering, dressing, or cooking
- • Creating a safer and accessible home environment through Home Modification Assessments
- Providing tips to reduce pain and fatigue
- Finding ways for you to be a part of your community
- Assistance in navigating NDIS funding to meet your support needs.
